Naomi led the first group of students at a Santa Fe school in the first step of her Tibetan Art Exchange Program. Students created greeting cards using Tibetan imagery and American imagery as well as wrote statements, such as "Did you know you have friends in America?" These cards will be given to Tibetan refugee students in India who will then respond with greeting cards of their own. Numerous schools in New Mexico and in India have agreed to participate in the next year or more in this exchange. For more information, contact Naomi at naomicrose@aol.com.

Tibetan Tales for Little Buddhas has received another award: 2006 Honor Title "Storytelling Anthologies" by Storytelling World.

The Nautilus award honors books of excellence that contribute to positive social change.

Naomi flew to New York to accept the award the evening of June 2 in front of hundreds of publishers, authors, and media representatives. In her acceptance speech she told of her childhood ambition to win the Nobel Peace prize. "This is probably as close as I'll get to that goal," she said. "And it's a great honor!"

In announcing the award for Tibetan Tales for Little Buddhas, the Nautilus Awards web site had this to say about the book: "Three charmingly translated tales feature young Tibetans living in a remote mountainous region where their Buddhist philosophy permeates all of their experience.
